Hey guys.
Currently here at Think Tank, we are working on some big projects. So big that they are all taking weeks to finish, so I don’t really have anything fun to show you right now. But I can indeed tell you about them.
In modeling class, I had my face 3D scanned and put into the computer. From the 3D scan, I built the rest of my head, and now I am sculpting in my face details. Soon I will rig my face so I can animate it, then texture my face and finally add hair. It is a really fun project.
In our CryEngine class, we have decided to use the free Unity engine. This engine can build games with ease and put them online to play in a web browser! The technology is quite amazing to be honest. We are building a game as a class, and I have been tasked with one of the main characters. I will be posting a rough 3D sketch of him soon.
I have also been sketching again and I have a few more drawings to show you. Each drawing has been for sketch competitions on Sketchoholic.com. The Robin Hood drawing you will see won first in one of the daily sketch competitions. The other ones… They did not win, but were fun to do!! The topics were “Robin Hood,” “A Villain,” and “Sea Gnomes.”
Last but not least, a little more news. I recently have impressed a few people online through Deviant Art. My recent concept art of Squiddy attracted the attention of a guy back east making a card game. He has asked me to do some concept work for his card game. Another guy from London has loved my 3D work, and has asked me to contribute to his indie game “28 Carrots Later.” As I get more details, I will make another post… Anyways thanks for reading, and please continue reading to see my sketches from this week. I love the underwater drawing. You really captured the colors and atmosphere! Great job on the rest too…
